Upper Abdominal Scan

This is a detailed scan of the size, shape and appearance of the upper abdominal area. This includes:

Liver
Spleen
Pancreas
Gallbladder and biliary system
Central blood vessels.
Kidneys

A 6 hour fast is required, patients may take sips of water if necessary.

Pelvis Scan

This is a detailed scan of the size, shape and appearance of the pelvic area to include:

MALE

  • Bladder
  • Prostate

A full bladder is required for this scan.

Abdomen & Pelvis Scan

This is a detailed scan of the size, shape and appearance of the abdominal and pelvic area. This includes :

Liver
Gall bladder and bilary system
Spleen
Pancreas
Cental blood vessels
Kidneys
Bladder
Prostate (male)

A 6 hour fast is required, patients may take sips of water if necessary. A full bladder is required for this scan.

Kidney Scan

This is a detailed scan of the size, shape and appearance of:

  • Both kidneys
  • Bladder
  • Ureters

A full bladder is required for this scan

 

Abdominal Aorta Scan

This is a detailed scan to assess for the presence of an abdominal aortic aneurysm

A 6 hour fast is required, patients may take sips of water if necessary.

Venoscan – DVT – Leg or Arm

This is a detailed scan of the deep veins in the leg or arm. We also assess for baker cysts at the back of the knee if involving the leg rather than the arm.

Thyroid Scan

This is a detailed scan of the thyroid gland to assess for nodules or any other abnormality. We also check for lymph glands at the front of the neck.

 

Soft Tissue Mass or Lymphadenopathy

This is a detailed assessment of lumps and bumps EXCLUDING breast tissue.

 

Groin / Hernia

This is a detailed scan of the muscles and soft tissues in this region.

Renal Dopplers

Assessment of the blood supply to the kidneys

A full bladder is required for this scan.
