Will I have long to wait?
We offer booked appointments – pre-arranged at a time that suits you & an instant waiting-room option where you can wait to be connected. This could take up to 60 minutes at times of high demand.
You will be informed when the Doctor is ready, so can get on with other tasks.
Can you do a referral?
Yes we can, and we can pop the letter into your inbox instantly.
Can you do a prescription for any medication?
We can prescribe most medications including antibiotics, pain relief, contraception, your repeat prescriptions & anything else routinely prescribed by your GP.
In-line with UK Guidance we can do prescriptions for everything except Schedule 1-3 Medications (Morphine & other controlled substances).
When should you not use an online or virtual service?
If you are very unwell (you think you should be in a+e)
Breathlessness
Dizziness
Drowsiness
Chest pain or abdominal pain
You think you are having a heart attack or a stroke
Bleeding from anywhere
The patient is under 5y/o
What’s an electronic prescription?
Our clinicians will instantly send you a token which can be presented to any pharmacy. The pharmacy will then dispense your medication.
The tokens are provided by our partner SignatureRx, who operate throughout the UK.
Can you issue a sick-certificate?
Of course. We are GMC Regulated GPs. We can instantly transmit you an electronic sick-note which can be issued to your employer, if this is appropriate.
Can you advise me on results I have from another provider or my NHS GP?
Yes. As long as our GP can see the results, they will help interpret and explain to you the content of your document. They will even guide you on what steps need taken next.
Documents can be uploaded to our GP during the consultation.
What if the GP requires me to be seen in a Duality Health clinic for follow-up?
This could happen for a number of reasons:
A) You are unwell:
If we cannot safely ascertain a safe management plan without examining you, the GP will ask that you attend clinic for further assessment. This will only occur under exceptional circumstances. The cost of this further assessment will be £40.
Other providers in this instance will either tell you to:
1) attend A+E or
2) tell you to ‘see a GP f2f’ and take no further part in your management
We are lucky in Duality Healthcare to have a network of physical clinics open 7 days a week.
B) You have complex issues requiring further investigation:
Our GP may recommend appointments in clinic for GP examination; blood tests, ECGs, 24 hour Blood Pressures; echocardiograms; ultrasounds.
These will be at standard Duality Healthcare prices, available from http://www.dualityhealth.co.uk.
Note Memberships exist ranging from £6.99/month and significantly reduce the cost of appointments & other services.
