Our private urgent care clinic offers an alternative to your local NHS out-of-hours offering. We do not make you wait for a phone call or triage your case for suitability – instead, you can simply select your health concern, confirm your appointment, and attend at the agreed time for your face-to-face assessment. Our urgent GP appointments are available during the day, evenings, and on weekends.

The clinician will not advise on chronic health conditions or undertake investigations or referrals in these appointments. You will be asked to book a regular GP consultation for these issues.

NHS Out of Hours GP Services in Northern Ireland are reported as having long waits for callbacks.

At Duality Health we try to take the uncertainty out of unscheduled care – when you are unwell, you don’t want to wait on a phone call or wonder if and when you will be called back or seen.

With our out-of-house health care services, you can simply book online and secure your appointment with a qualified out-of-hours emergency doctor. We trust your judgement and will facilitate access to private urgent care however we can – if you need an emergency GP appointment, we’re here for you.

The clinician has referred me to A+E – will I get seen sooner?

If our clinician has deemed that your clinical presentation requires an A+E attendance they will provide you with a letter of referral. You will be triaged in A+E as any NHS patient and prioritised in terms of clinical need and necessity. If our clinician has deemed that your clinical presentation requires an A+E attendance, they will provide you with a letter of referral. You will be triaged in A+E as any NHS patient and prioritised in terms of clinical need and necessity. If you are referred to A+E you have been provided with medical assessment and advice on your condition by our clinician. This is why there is a charge associated with your appointment. Referral to A+E does not entitle the patient to a refund as this was the most appropriate management for your condition and presentation.
