Travelling is arguably one of the most important things anyone could do in their life. It’s a way to enrich the mind, meet people and experience a dizzying array of new cultures. Now, luckily for us, we live in a world where travelling has never been easier. Cheap flights and the internet means that getting to the other side of the world, whilst being able to have a life back home, is actually possible. To give you some inspiration for your next adventure, here are some of our favourite destinations across the globe.
South East Asia has become one of the biggest travelling hotspots across the world. Although the route is well-travelled, if you want to meet a number of other seasoned English-speaking travellers, then this is the place for you. Whether you want to bask in the hectic nightlife of Bangkok or explore the sprawling rice paddies of Vietnam, there is something for everyone.
The Indian Subcontinent is another well-travelled area of the world that globetrotters flock to. However, the region is so astonishingly vast that there is always more to explore and still areas totally untouched by tourism. If you want a bit of hustle and bustle, you could head down the west coast of India from Delhi down to Mumbai and further on to Goa and Kerala; a well travelled path.
If you want to be isolated in a place of stunning natural beauty, there’s nowhere better than the Himalayan foothills of Nepal. Head off with a group or individually with a guide on a sprawling trek to get views from the very top of the world.
If you’re an animal lover, then some of the most enchanting wildlife live on the continent of South America or the subcontinent of Central America. There are sparse landscapes in the mountains teeming with flamingoes and llamas, or head across to the coast and jungles of Costa Rica for a roster of conservation projects and opportunities to meet critters from the entire spectrum of the animal kingdom.
Before you head off on your trip, it’s important not to forget to get yourself vaccinated. Not doing so can leave you unprotected against some pretty nasty diseases and, once you’re out there, you may not be able to get the medical attention you require. To find out more, get in touch today.
